Colouring with Madi: The Works International Visual Arts Society IN/OUTside the Lines

I had a blast colouring with The Works International Visual Arts Society. Here are some social media highlights from the event.

What a turn-out! It was an energizing time speaking about my creative process and colouring with attendees.

Community colouring with The Boys & Girls Club of Edmonton

Thoughtful words sent in from Lisa Nier of @nierreviews

Edmonton artist, Jenny Shaw, put her own creative spin to my colouring page by tracing in elements of the original page and leaving out elements. I’m in love with the colour gradients and movements of her forms. Stunning work, Jenny ( https://jennyshaw.creativeprocess.biz/ )

Thank you, Mary of @prairiefoxequinox. I’m glad you enjoyed the event :)

Thank you, Paxsi @paxsi__

Doodle Party

On December 27, 2021 I hosted a Doodle Party via Instagram Stories. I asked the community to send in their doodle ideas and I would draw them in response. I like this idea of using the story feature on Instagram for communal play and weekday surprise.

Thank you to everyone who participated by submitting their ideas. It was fun to doodle with you all.

*I created these doodles using the draw feature on my phone.

Crayola Bath Crayons

On January 2, 2022 I made a post talking about my experience with Crayola Bath Crayons as a fun adult alternative to bath bombs and bathtime play.

Nadia Abigail of @naranj1ta responded to this post on February 5, 2022 with her bath time creations! ( pictured below )
I love love love her fun gestural bodies. To me, they are reminiscent of Henri Matisse’s The Dance.

Thank you for sharing your art Nadia
